Native Games Teacher and Internationally Medaled Competitor

I first started competing in the Native Games during carnivals at home as a child. In middle school I was introduced to Native Youth Olympics. I continued competing through high school, completing my career on a high note as the one hand reach champion. My high school sports schedule included cross country, wrestling, basketball, and NYO.
I was first brought to WEIO in 2011 as a high schooler, I have competed nearly every year since. Even when I was attending college in California to wrestle while earning my psychology degree, I would return home for a quick trip in the summers to visit family and attend WEIO. To this day, it is a summer priority for me.
In 2014 I was on Team Alaska at Arctic Winter Games for the girls wrestling team. In 2024 I made a comeback to Team Alaska for the inagural open women’s competition for the Dené Games; the strength games that traditionally only men competed in.
In 2025 I made Team Nunapkut for the inagural Avannaa Arctic Games, medaling in multiple competitions.
If you’re interested in condributing to the games, I am seeking sponshorship as an athlete. I spend hundreds a year on training, travel fees, and application fees to compete. All of the Native Games competitions are another great place to send donations.
